Google PPC management, in detail.
Google Ads that you can measure
Google Ads can be one of the most profitable ways to reach buyers who are already searching for what you sell. It can also burn through money quickly if campaigns are left on default settings and tracking isn't right.
I manage Google PPC campaigns for online stores with tracking set up first, so every decision is based on real sales, and you get a clear monthly report on what each campaign brings back.
- Conversion tracking
- ROAS targets
- Wasted spend cut
- A clear monthly report
Search campaigns
Search campaigns show text ads when people search for specific terms. We separate brand and non-brand campaigns, research the keywords your buyers use, write ads that match their intent, and build a strong negative keyword list to cut spend on irrelevant searches.
- Your brand nameBrand campaign
- Product + buying intentNon-brand campaign
- "Free", jobs, DIY searchesNegative keyword
Google Ads can burn through money quickly if tracking isn't right.
Shopping and Performance Max
Shopping and Performance Max campaigns use your Merchant Center product feed to show products with images and prices. Performance Max can reach buyers across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display and Gmail. We group products by margin and performance, give Google the right signals, and keep a close eye on where the budget actually goes.
A strong product feed makes these campaigns work, which is why Merchant Center management goes hand in hand with them.
Conversion tracking with GA4
Before we spend, we make sure purchases are tracked correctly in Google Ads and GA4, with real order values and enhanced conversions where possible. Without that, Google's automated bidding learns from bad data and spends in the wrong places.
- Purchase on your site
- Real order value sent
- Enhanced conversions
- Bidding learns from good data
Budgets, bids and ROAS
ROAS (return on ad spend) is the sales you get for every unit of currency spent on ads. We set ROAS targets from your margins, manage budgets and bidding strategies against them, and move budget toward the campaigns and products that perform best.
What ROAS do you need to break even?
Put in last month's ad spend and revenue, and your margin. You'll see your ROAS against the minimum your ads need to cover their cost.
Monthly reporting in plain language
Each month you get a short written report: spend, sales, ROAS, what we tested, what worked and what's next. No jargon, and always tied back to your total sales and profit.
Common Google Ads mistakes we fix
When I audit Google Ads accounts, the usual problems are conversion tracking that counts the wrong thing, broad match keywords running without negatives, brand searches mixed into generic campaigns so results look better than they are, Performance Max taking credit for sales that would have happened anyway, and budgets spread too thinly across too many campaigns. We fix tracking first, then structure, then bids.

Google PPC management alongside your feed and store
Google PPC management works best when the same person looks after the product feed, the website and the ads. If a product is out of stock, disapproved in Merchant Center or has a pricing problem, the ads need to know. Because I manage all three, campaigns are planned around stock, promotions and margins, and your report shows ad results alongside total store sales.
What the first month looks like
In week one, we audit your Google Ads account, conversion tracking, Merchant Center feed and GA4 setup, and fix anything that stops sales being measured correctly. In week two, you get a written plan with the campaign structure, budgets, ROAS targets and the first tests. Once you approve it, we restructure or launch campaigns and add the negative keywords that cut wasted spend.
For the rest of the month, we review search terms, bids and product performance regularly, and you get a weekly update with spend, sales and ROAS. By the end of the month, you'll have a cleaner account, trustworthy numbers and a clear direction for the next quarter.

Common questions.
Yes. Shopping and Performance Max use your Merchant Center product feed, which I can set up too.
It depends on your products, margins and goals. I recommend a starting budget after reviewing your store, then scale what's profitable.
Not always. Performance Max can reach more people, but standard Shopping gives more control. Many stores do best with a mix, and we test both.
It depends on your margins. A profitable ROAS for one store can lose money for another, so we set targets from your actual numbers.
Yes. I start with an audit of tracking, campaigns, search terms and wasted spend, then fix what's holding results back.
Yes. I manage Google Ads for online stores selling in the UK, the US or both.
Campaigns need a few weeks of data to settle. Most accounts show a clear direction within the first two to three months.
